Culture of Me
UNDERSTANDING SPECS OF MY LIFE
I was about 5 years old when I had a choice that seems like a pretty hard decision now, but in Kindergarten it felt easy. I was ambidextrous, I would use both hands for everything...including writing. The decision I made was all about quantity over quality. I think it helped me in recent years with quick writes. My parents actually gave me the choice to choose what hand I would like to write with. My dad prefered me to be right handed, and my mom had no preference, she wanted me to use the hand that I was most comfortable using. The reason I had to choose which hand to write with, was because in Kindergarten they wanted you to define your motor skills to perfect your writing. I chose to be right handed, but have often wondered if my writing would be better with my left hand.
I have a friend, Parker, that I knew from preschool and we were close friends. We always hung out, and played together but it got harder for me to have a really good conversation with him because we didn’t hang out as much as we got older. Kaleb, my friend I met in 2nd grade, and I talk a lot and so we never really have information that we both don’t know and we are always comfortable talking to each other. With Parker and I not seeing each other as much, it is hard to keep up with each other and stay connected. I also trust Kaleb a lot with my secrets.
When I was 10 years old, I got my first computer. I got it so I would not use my sisters computers for games. I still have it now, but I stopped using it and started using my new computer. Searching the internet I learned a lot about the things people are into and what a lot of people don’t like. I use my computer for research, it is very helpful when I have questions about things and information I may need. I also find a lot of different types of music. My computer is a large part of my life.
Another thing I like to do is play sports. The one that I have recently played is roller hockey. Roller hockey is hot and it feels like you are going to overheat which would not happen in ice hockey. The floor is made of asphalt so they cool the puck in ice so it works better. Once they chilled a cracked puck and when I took the face off the ref dropped the puck and the other player and I hit the puck. One piece of the puck flew into the air and the other piece slid on the floor. I focused on the one in the air and the other player focused on the one on the ground. After the game I got to keep the puck.
During my life my future job has changed a lot. At first it was a test person to do crash tests in cars. During my time in elementary school wanted to be an inventor or chemist. In middle school I wanted to be a game tester, or a beta tester, but also thought about being a chemist again. Now, I have been thinking about being a chemist or a animator. I will make some animations soon, I just need to learn source filmmaker. This might help me make a decision if animation is the right job for me.

Immigration Paper
The topic of Undocumented immigrants is a dilemma that has the US split between letting them stay and making them leave. This paper will show you why one side is better than the other. For anyone that didn’t know There are many people from other countries that want to come to america. Some of them don’t want to wait to get a green card and come here legally or they don’t have the time to wait. So they try to come here any way possible. Undocumented immigrants should be stopped from coming to america.
If we let all immigrants into america we would have a work problem. From a pew research center study, there are 11.3 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. in 2014 and about 5.6 million of those immigrants already in The U.S. are mexicans. All of these immigrants are now working in jobs that we americans need. They are working at places like restaurants, baseball stadium, and farms for more money than they made in the country they came from. They can also get a better education to get an even better job. So now all of the unauthorized immigrants coming here are now getting the jobs that some of us need to live. Thus Native born citizens will have a harder time finding a job and we will have a problem supporting ourselves and family.
Their lives here as a U.S. citizen could be worse than living here illegally. From page 27 from the circuit, they are provided a place to stay and work. Many people in the documentary “La Cosecha” are living in houses that their employers provide for them. This reveals that most of them don’t pay taxes for their work and home, only sales tax. The reason for this is because they don’t own the house and they are being payed but they aren't writing it on a tax. Therefore they will need to make more money to pay the taxes so they can live and before they wouldn’t.
The last thing is that they are undocumented and they came here illegally. From a Huffington Post article that tells of a young boy traveling to the US illegally. Also, from another article talking about how 3 kids went to america illegally. All of these people came here illegally and are examples of how all of the undocumented immigrants are getting here. Some of the immigrants are paying these coyotes to bring them here illegally. The immigrants are breaking our laws and we want to allow them to stay with no punishment.
The undocumented immigrants should be sent back to mexico. You live in america and having the immigrants here is a problem. If They were made a citizen it would make it harder to find jobs and harder to get jobs. These people are criminals, even if they don’t seem like it, because they broke the law coming here undocumented and do you want that in your country. The work problem would hurt us a lot and would affect the lives of the poor. The Immigrants get a home and if they were a citizen they wouldn’t have that home. Also, they did something illegal and you want them to stay?. Do you know what we do to someone who breaks the law, we put them in jail. Therefore these undocumented immigrants would take our jobs, Have a hard life, and they didn’t follow the law.

United Arab Emirates
South China Sea
Dylan
The south china sea is a stretch of water nearly 1.4 million square miles. A great place for fishing and has 1/3 of the world's trade flowing through its waters. However, there has been many disputes on territory there. The main countries involved in this dispute are Vietnam, Malaysia, The Philippines, and China. This all started during WW2 when Japan gained control of the islands in the sea around it. Then, when the allied forces occupied Japan conflict started between Taiwan and China on who should own the area. It was then divided to the neighboring countries. But even after that, conflict is still happening . Many times philippine and vietnamese ships targeted chinese vessels directly. China states they are pushing forward because they had claimed the islands in the Xia dynasty. Many other countries believe that they are after the resources in the area. As we all know, stability in the area needs to be obtained to stop the violence and for modern economic growth from the trade.
This is a problem that the United Arab Emirates does not want to go violent. The United Arab Emirate have traded with China and have many trade routes that go through that area and if violence breaks out, the United Arab Emirates would lose a big part of our export and many of our, and other countries, trade routes will be lost. This would cause items to become much more expensive and take longer to get to their destination because the ships would have to either go through Indonesia. But those routes would be dangerous because of the pirates, so the safer route would be to go around Australia and then move north. This would take a very long time to get to some of our export destinations and lose some too.
One thing that has been done to address this problem is when the US sent a guided missile destroyer 12 nautical miles from the territorial waters of facilities occupied by Chinese forces. They claimed the act a freedom of navigation exercise. Also, Asean held a meeting and China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Russia were there to discuss the dispute. They didn’t change China actions and that is because China say that they and the US don’t see eye to eye.
The United Arab Emirates suggests that we keep China’s claim to the Paracel Islands and have a 1/4 of the top part of the Spratly Islands while Vietnam, Malaysia and The Philippines claim and populate 1/3 of the Spratly Islands left with Brunei getting a small section. That way Vietnam, Malaysia, The Philippines, and Brunei can make sure China doesn’t seize more land. What this should do is let China have more land to get resources and the other lands would be inhabited and china would risk starting a war if they try to seize the islands. This would also allow for free trade movement through the area without the risk of the ships being attacked or detained.
